Waking up on a winter morning can be hard and it gets worse with a blocked nose , sore throat and laziness.
The best possible drink for a perfect winter morning or an evening would be turmeric milk or golden milk. It is known as Manja paal ,Haldi Doodh and Turmeric latte in its in cafe version.
Ingredients
- 250 ml Milk ( Milk of your Choice)
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric Powder.
- One pinch of Black pepper powder
- One pinch of Cinnamon Powder
- 1 Teaspoon of Palm Sugar ( Sugar of your choice)
Instructions
- Boil Milk and take it from the flame. Add turmeric Powder,Palm sugar, Cinnamon Powder,Palm Sugar and Stir well. The turmeric Milk or Golden Milk is ready to drink.
- If you are using Almond Milk or Coconut mik or Soya milk don’t boil the milk .If you over heat the milk it will tend to curdle.

- Turmeric is a spice or herb which is obtained as rhizomes and they belong to ginger family Zingiberaceae which is native to India and cultivated in Souteast Asia. Turmeric contains a component called a curcumin which is known for its anti inflammatory and anti bacterial properties.
- Cinnamon is a spice which are rolled from the dried bark of Cinnamon Verumbas quills and they are also known as Ceylon Cinnamon or True Cinnamon.
- Palm Sugar is a natural sweetener obtained from the sap of palm tree which is the best alternative for refined sugar.
- Black pepper is a spice native to the Malabar coast of India and it contains piperine which is known to have good curative properties.
